Why Are You Single?

If you are single, you hate this question. With so many ways to meet singles these days, it surprises me that I still hear people say “You use a dating service on the Internet?” or “You met your boyfriend/girlfriend on the Internet?” It is 2007 people! The Internet is a valuable tool, I could not personally live without the ability to do the following on the Internet:

1. Internet banking, to check my balances, transfer money, or send email money transfers

2. Research my family name. I attended a family reunion which I found on the Net, and found relatives of my husband that we never knew about.

3. Posting information on websites like Facebook. Find long lost friends, exchange photos, find people from school on Classmates.com

4. Upload photos to Flikr to share with friends, and to keep them safe in case I lose my hard drive (again)

5. Talk to friends, family and business associates for free on Skype

6. Learn how to build a website, programming, learn marketing, long distance learning, even learn how to play the guitar.

7. Download songs to my iPOD, where would I be without my iPOD?

8. Find directions and map my journey through mapquest.com

So what is wrong with finding a date online? Online dating has been around for over 10 years now. Internet dating has become the most popular way to meet single people, and there are so many different niche dating sites to use. You can find black singles, asian singles, BBW, Canadian only, or seniors. You can find people with similar interests such as golfing singles, travel singles, as well as dog and cat lovers. If you consider the time it would take to talk to all of these singles, never mind find them out there in the real world, you will see why Internet Dating is the way to go. Also when you consider how convenient it is to meet so many single people in the privacy of your own home it could be a solution for you.
